Pumpkin Pie Spice Energy Full Meal Smoothie with Chef Dahnaya

 


In a stout blender add:

1 cup old fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cup stevia

1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice

1 tablespoon chia seed

About 4 cups washed baby spinach

1 cup almond milk

1 scoop pea protein 

2 cups water

Blend well

Add

1 avocado with the seed and peel removed

2 large (cored and washed) yellow delicious apples.

Blend

Add ice to fill

Blend well

Bean and Brown Rice Soup with Cumin Seed with Chef Dahnaya

Pour into a large pot 1 cup of brown rice and 1 cup of dry beans, any type is fine.  

Add water until it is at least 2 inches above the brown rice and beans.

Allow to soak over night.  Pour out the water and then pour in fresh water with at least 2 inches of water above the brown rice and beans.

Bring to a full boil.  After boiling, allow to continue to boil for 15 minutes.

Keep boiling.  If most of the water is gone, add a cup or two more water.

Add:

1 quart broth.  I used vegetable broth.

Add 1 tablespoon salt and 1 teaspoon cumin seed.

Add vegetables:

Wash and cut into small pieces.  You can add whatever you like.  Sometimes I like to add onions and peppers.  In the above video, I added:

2 potatoes

7 green tomatoes (from my garden)

1 stalk of bok choy  (I added the hard stalk first)

I then added the softer items

Parsley

allow to boil or simmer for at least another 10 minutes.  I like things crunchy.  My wife prefers things much more soft, in which case you will need to allow everything to simmer until soft.  


I like it quite well just like this.  Some may prefer a chicken or beef broth and some meat cut up into small pieces.

Lemon ice cream with Chef Dahnaya. This one gets noisy


Peal 3 to 6 lemons
Blend the lemons
Freeze the lemons in small bags or containers (not all together because you want easy to use pieces when frozen)

Add in a stout food processor (Ninja with double blades is best)
1 cup milk or almond milk
1 cup stevia
1 scoop protein powder (whey or pea)
add some of the lemon, and blend, then a little more, and blend, then the rest.

 

Brown fried rice with Chef Dahnaya


Soak a cup of brown rice in a pot with water, at least 2 inches over the rice, over night.
Drain the water from the rise.
Add water back into the pot, at least 2 inches over the rice.  Bring to hard boil for 15 minutes.  Allow to cool.  Drain the excess water from the pan.
In a frying pan on medium high:
Add enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan
Pour in the brown rice and stir
Add chopped chives and stir (wash and remove the very ends on both ends)
Add two large eggs and stir
Add 1 - 2 cups washed baby spinach and stir
Add 1 large yellow or granny smith apple with the core removed and cut into small pieces.  Stir
Allow to cook while stirring three to four more minutes.

I like it just like that.  You may want to add sauce and/or seasoning, such as salt.
