In a stout blender add:
1 cup old fashioned rolled oats (or rolled barley or rolled wheat)
1 cup almond milk
2 cups water
2 large carrots with the ends cut off and well washed
4 packed cups spinach, washed
1 tablespoon chia seed
1 scoop protein powder, I prefer pea
2 large apples, I prefer golden delicious or granny smith
1/2 cup stevia (powder)
1 avocado
1/2 cup fresh mint
blend well
add ice
blend well
You may drink it all at once or throughout the day.
Approximately 915 calories

To save money, grow your own garden, plant vegetables in a planter on your step or in your window. Substitute ingredients with what you can grow or purchase locally or free from friends/neighbors. Eat: Whole Grains, Vegetables, Fruit, Legumes, Complex Carbs, healthy Herbs and Spices. Avoid: Simple Carbs, Sugar, Corn Syrup. Eat in moderation: starches and meat. Drink: Water.
